About Aimée 

 

Aimée is a classical guitarist from London, Ontario, Canada.  She comes from the musical "Piché Family", and her brothers have formed the band, Article One.  (www.articleonemusic.com)    
Her Dad is the author of the popular "Classroom Guitar" teaching series. (www.classroomguitar.org)

Aimée frequently gives concerts and plays professionally.  She is attending The Eastman School of Music, in Rochester, New York, where she has been awarded a scholarship, and is studying guitar with Nicholas Goluses.

Aimée performed the Concierto de Aranjuez with Orchestra London (Canada) on November 18, 2006.

On February 10, 2007, she performed the second movement of the same concierto with the Brampton Symphony Orchestra, at the Rose Theatre in Brampton, Ontario. (see picture page)

February 24, 2007
   n      Aimée wins the D'Addario Classical Guitar Competition at Ithaca College

January 2006
   n      Aimée is awarded the Dominic Troiano Guitar Scholarship.  www.domenictroiano.com

April 2005, Aimée wins the Rosebowl.                                                                 

n     The top London Kiwanis Festival award.

Prize includes $1,500 scholarship. 

Canadian Music Competition    1999, 2000, 2002

n     Received 3rd place standing in national competition, three times

Provincial Champion                       June 2005

n     Placed first in the Ontario Music Festival Association Grade 10 solo classical guitar class.

Open String Trophy                          2002, 2004

n     Two time winner of the London Kiwanis Music Festival Open String Trophy Class.

Grade 10 Guitar Exam                     June 2005

n     Completed Grade 10 Guitar Royal Conservatory of Canada Music Examination with First Class Honours.  She was also awarded the silver medal for having the highest mark in Ontario.
